On June 8, 1959, 391 classmates of the Lakeland High School Class of 1959 graduated. The ceremony was held in downtown Lakeland at the Mayhall auditorium, located near Lake Mirror. Who could have known that fifty years later, approximately 118 classmates would return to Lakeland for the 50th class reunion. Many brought spouses and guests; the total attendance was approximately 190 persons. Sadly, we know of 69 classmates who are deceased.
